Dan Vahdat is the Founder and CEO of Huma, the operating system for AI in healthcare. After beginning a PhD at Johns Hopkins University, Dan left academia to build the infrastructure he believed healthcare was missing: an operating system for regulated AI. Today, Huma partners with governments, health systems, and life sciences companies to build national-scale healthcare and research infrastructure. Huma has become one of the world’s largest regulated healthcare AI platforms, powering more than 5,000 hospitals and clinics, supporting over 100 million people across 70+ countries, and working with 15 of the world’s top 20 life sciences companies. Dan is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Innovators and Unicorn Communities and believes the next generation of civilization will be built on sovereign AI infrastructure for society’s most critical industries.
